1. What You're Buying (The License)
- You're buying permission to use the data—not ownership of the data itself.
- The number of people who can use this data is limited to the quantity of licenses you purchased in your order.
- A "user" is anyone who directly accesses the data or whose work depends on the data (like creating reports from it).
- Please don't share more copies than you have licenses for.
2. Who Owns It (Copyright)
- The American Dental Association (ADA) owns the rights to the CDT codes, descriptions and other material in the data content.
- PMIC is an ADA authorized distributor of CDT data content.
- You are simply licensed to use it.
3. What If There's an Error (Limited Warranty)
- We've created this data from official ADA sources and believe it is complete and accurate when you get it.
- The data is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it for any specific purpose.
- If you find a mistake, error, or omission, we'll do our best to correct it or give you a replacement.
4. What If You Don't Follow the Rules (Termination)
- If you don't follow these terms (like sharing it beyond your license count), the ADA will be upset with both of us, and your right to use the data may be immediately canceled.
5. Where Disputes are Handled (Governing Law)
- This agreement is governed by the laws and courts of the State of California.
